In this week’s blog, I am writing on a luxe vegan, cruelty-free, 9-free nail polish and care brand that I’ve recently discovered, and I think you lovelies will absolutely love this brand too. You probably already saw from my title, feature image, and video that I’m referring to Londowntown!
Wearing Nail Colors in Bespoked (hands) and True to Form (feet)
Alongside my parents, I grew up with my grandmother who always had perfectly manicured nails (even when she turned 101!) and she inspired me so much in my youth. She taught me the importance of skincare, good quality make-up, luxury fragrances, professional hair care, and beautiful nail care. It was only natural that I followed in her beauty footsteps, among other things, because I loved her so much.
Every week and no longer than two, I treat myself to a gel manicure and regular pedicure at Georgetown Nails in Washington, D.C. It’s one of my favorite ways to relax and refresh while maintaining my nail care. One of the owners is the personal manicurist for Michelle Obama, and it’s always fun to sit next to Malia and Sasha from time-to-time while catching a glimpse of other D.C. powerhouses getting their services done. But really and more importantly, I love seeing and catching up with my favorite manicurists/pedicurists who have become some of my closest friends (Hannah, Katie and Carrie!) over the last fifteen years I’ve been a client there… 15 years! I’ve shared so much chatter and laughter with them, and I’ve grown to trust them to pick out my colors every time. So when I brought my four new nail colors by Londontown with me to the salon last week, my manicurist was a bit shocked and completely curious. What was Londontown, what made it different and special, and why did I want to use it?! The salon always provides my nail colors or special orders them for me, and like a creature of habit, I always get a gel mani and a regular pedi. But last week, I wanted to try out my new nail colors by getting a regular (I know…. not gel!) mani and pedi using the best shades of nude by Londontown. I had four new colors with me, and after some deliberation with my manicurist, we decided to go with Bespoked on my hands and True to Form on my toes.
1.What’s Londontown?
I discovered Londontown’s brand and darling story after its PR and Social Media Assistant reached out to me. I learned that the brand began in a family’s flower garden in Radlett, England during a quest to naturally and scientifically find a solution to heal, protect, and hydrate hands and nails. I was immediately drawn to the flower garden and Londontown’s family recipe, known as Florium Complex. This recipe is infused into kur, its nail care system, and lakur, its nail color collection. In combination, kur and lakur restore nail damage and maintain nail protection. So I had to try for myself and order the Kur Restorative Cream and Lakur nail colors. Effective (and natural) ingredients include Britain’s rapeseed flower oil, evening primrose oil, chamomile, cucumber, and other essential vitamins.

2.Why Londontown?
I eat a vegan diet, so when I discovered Londontown’s brand of vegan nail polish and gluten-free nail care products, like its Restorative Nail Cream, I was immediately intrigued. I’ve recently been trying out (and loving) a lot of natural, vegan, organic, paraben-free, gluten-free, and cruelty-free beauty products (see some of my Instagram posts!), so trying out Londontown nail polish and nail care products was a no brainer for me.
Before using Londontown’s Kur Restorative Nail Cream and wearing Londontown’s Lakur Nail Colors, I was already in love with its story and was afraid of becoming hugely disappointed after trying them out. To my relief and delight, I love them and totally recommend your trying them out! After using the Kur Restorative Nail Cream on my hands and feet, they feel incredibly moisturized, especially my cuticles where hydration is key. And after a week of polishing my nails with Bespoked and True to Form, my colors remain “Bespoked” and “True to Form” as promised. As a wearer of gel manicures, I was a bit worried about my polish chipping or becoming dull, but after one week, I have no regrets!
